Register for the 2024 GLMMDouble Tag Book with Memory Glass
(Double Tag Book)

Double tag books are fun little mini books. We make memory glass embellishments which can be added to the cover or used elsewhere. You will be provided the pieces for one double tag book and one memory glass embellishment. We will teach you how to put them all together. We are not adding papers, photos or journaling in class. You will do this later at your leisure. The photos are intended to show construction and offer an idea of some of the things that can be done to fill/embellish. Each kit will include some free, bonus fiber and embellishments, which will vary from kit to kit.
Leave class with: an unadorned double tag book, a memory glass embellishment and some free fiber and ephemera (which will vary from kit to kit)
Skill level: All Levels
Supplies: a precut 1×3 verse that is meaningful to you printed on thin vellum or paper for the memory glass embellishment (it should be pretty thin as it will be sandwiched between glass and held together with foil tape)
Free Handing with Bleed Proof White

In this free hand art class you will use bleed proof white to create clouds and the splashing of the water along the beach. You will be provided 4 full color card fronts (2 for practice and 2 final) to work on technique. Each person must be prepared to sit with and share material with another person. While any skill level is encouraged to participate, this is art, and some people will find it easy while others may not. Everyone’s results will be different.
Leave class with: 2 A@ size cards and envelopes, 2 additional practice card fronts and instructions for fully creating the full color card fronts.
Skill level: All Levels
Supplies: small and medium round paint brushes, water in a spill proof container (water bottle with a screw top recommended), wet wipes and adhesive. Some water brushed work as long as the water dispnses slowly
Lakeside Gate Fold Cards

In this class you will use pre-colored, die-cut images and ribbon to make 2 gate fold cards. You will trim your pieces to fit, build your scenes and assemble your cards.

Mitering Book Covers

Learn to make a more professional mini book cover using book board and Peddler’s Den mitering jigs. You will be provided two 6×6 book boards, a 6 panel accordion insert, mitering jigs, scoring/folding tool and pattern paper for your front and back covers. The class focus is learning to use the mitering jig and construction of the accordion book.
Leave class with: 6×6 accordion book

Supplies: pencil or pen, scissors, powerful wet adhesive (we recommend Bearly Art Glue) and (optional) a firm surface to score on (cutting mat, etc.)
Night Skies

This class features 111# Midnight Blue Metallic cardstock. You will use stencils, paper towels, cotton balls and stamps to create 2 cards similar to these. Everyone will make a water card and you will choose either the full or quarter moon for your other card. You will keep your moon stencil set.

Supplies: Brilliance Moonlight white ink pad, either a Brilliance Graphic black or VersaFine Onyx black ink pad ( the minis will do as long as they are juicy), a medium size acrylic block and adhesive. Optional: White gel pen. If you need to pre-order ink please contact Tonya at 256-66–0999
Spotlight Cards for all Occasions

This class uses our 2pc moon stencil to create spotlights. You will be provided 12 assorted, pre-printed black and white card choices (only 6 of 12 shown), suitable for a variety of occasions. You will create the spotlights and add visual texture with background stencils (designs varies according to availability). Coloring is optional and can be done with markers or color pencils later. Because everyone will be using different colors of ink and we suggest adding a color coordinated accent paper layer when assembling we are not including those layers. Students must be prepared to sit with and share tools with someone else.
Leave class with: 12 card faces, 8 white card bases/envelopes to assemble and 2 stencils
Skill level: All Levels
Supplies: dye ink pads in your choice of colors, blending brushes (makeup style) and wet wipes. Optional: favorite coloring medium
